TV opportunity for US Degos patients: here is your chance to tell the story for us all
Dear Judith,
This company is producing a new medical mystery series for Discovery Fit and Health television, which series is slated to premiere this summer.
We are interested in producing a story on Degos Disease.
As this series will present a given disease from the perspectives of the patients, their families, and physicians, we are hoping to find same who are willing to share their stories with us.
Would you by any chance have in your community a Degos sufferer who might be willing to talk about his/her ordeal? (If the sufferer has died, we’d still be interested in presenting his/her story through the eyes of his/her family.)
Given that this show will be structured as a mystery, our ideal story would involve at least a couple of misdiagnoses before the right diagnosis is pronounced.
Would you be willing to help us here?
Notes:
—We send film crews to our storytellers’s locations and interview them at length there. Unfortunately, we will be restricted to North America.
—At a later date in production, we produce dramatizations of the significant events in our patients’s lives. Each episode is one-hour in length, and there will be two to three stories per episode.
Thank you for any time and attention you can give this matter!
Sincerely,
Paul Crehan
